Build on $4.5 billion in assets
and a 19 million sq. ft. portfolio
With your strategic perspective and knowledge of the country’s retail-commercial real estate landscape, this position is likely to hold considerable career appeal. Crombie REIT is an open-ended real estate investment trust, established in 2006 and traded on the TSX. The company’s success is based on its ownership and operation of high quality grocery and drug store-anchored shopping centres, freestanding stores and major joint venture mixed use projects. With its ties to two great retail brands in Sobeys and Safeway, Crombie has expanded its focus, broadened its expertise and established assets in every Canadian province.
In this new position, you will lead Crombie’s portfolio and operational strategies, playing a primary role in the identification and execution of new acquisitions, dispositions, large scale developments and joint ventures. Operationally, you will oversee regional Vice-Presidents leading development, construction and leasing teams across the country. Take responsibility for optimizing portfolio quality by focusing on best practices and processes in land use intensification, large scale mixed use development in urban centres and redevelopment. Partner with the corporate development team to drive long term growth in FFO/AFFO. Continue to build, lead and develop a talented, high performance team while implementing standardized business and budgeting practices across the organization.
You have accumulated your senior level experience leading cross functional teams in development, operations, construction and leasing. Through your knowledge of real estate market drivers, economic trends and future directions, you will add high end leadership to the senior management team of a fast-paced, values-first corporate culture. You have the option of being based in New Glasgow, Halifax or Toronto.
