District Manager

We are searching for a District Manager to oversee a portfolio of residential properties in an effective and efficient manner with the highest level of customer service to both residents and owners. The incumbent will manage a team of property managers and coordinate their work, as well as ensure the portfolio operates within our standards of safety, high quality customer service, and efficient operations. This will include:

  • Operate properties in accordance with approved budgets
  • Develop and administer annual operating and capital budgets
  • Actively contribute to the achievement of team objectives
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with tenants, suppliers, and contractors
  • Supervise and manage administrative and operational staff; ensure effective performance
  • Perform and document regular site inspections and follow up to ensure identified deficiencies are addressed in a timely manner
  • Effectively supervise contractors, suppliers and service providers
  • Ensure compliance with all legislation

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Residential property management
  • Preferred: University degree in related field and professional designation
  • Have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Solid management and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship building competencies
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills; excellent time management
  • Resilient with a high stress tolerance; portrays a professional image
  • Ability to oversee capital projects; strengths in budgeting and effective reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; must be able and willing to support all team members
  • Excellent negotiating skills
